The Saturday D??cor Launches Preciosa Collection Reflecting the sparkle and decadence of the 1920s, The Saturday D??cor introduced its Preciosa Collection of drapery hardware. The release was timed to coincide with the growing popularity of glamorous, ornate design. "Our ornate Classics Collection was coincidentally released just as interest in elaborate 18th-century French design resurfaced in popular culture and in film," says Angela Phangsoa, product manager at The Saturday D??cor. "We foresee our new, more subtly ornate Preciosa collection to be in line with the next wave in popular taste." The Preciosa valances have two notable features--ornate metal headers and Swarovski crystals. "Our designers originally aimed to combine elements of Art Deco with the current interest in elaborate French design," explains Phangsoa, "and what developed were ornate pieces that still retained a look of clean sophistication." The collection's metal headers are made up of separate sections, designed to be custom creations. All valance collections are available in antique gold, silver, and bronze finishes, in addition to customcolor options. A variety of choices in the quality of the crystals enables designers to offer the product to clients within different budgets.
